Sala de ropa

El salón para compartir ropa y ropa de cama está ubicado junto con la despensa de alimentos para compartir en la iglesia bautista McLean. Share acepta donaciones de ropa de temporada, zapatos y ropa de cama para el hogar y se los proporciona sin cargo a los vecinos de Share.

Los voluntarios clasifican las donaciones de ropa por tamaño y género, y los compradores pueden llevarse lo que necesitan. ​

Le pedimos que solo done ropa de temporada (es decir, pantalones cortos en verano, abrigos en invierno) ya que no tenemos mucho espacio de almacenamiento en la sala de ropa.

Necesitamos voluntarios para ayudar a administrar las salas de ropa todos los miércoles y sábados. Si está interesado en ser voluntario, complete un formulario de interés voluntario .

Una de las formas más efectivas de recolectar la ropa y la ropa de cama necesarias para Compartir es aguanta una unidad en tu escuela, negocio, comunidad u organización religiosa. Los estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria pueden recibir créditos por horas de servicio comunitario por organizar una campaña.

Necesidades de ropa de cama
Share acepta donaciones de ropa de cama, toallas, mantas, colchas y edredones que sean nuevos o usados en buen estado, limpios y reutilizables.

Ropa de cama deben estar empaquetados y marcados con el tamaño de la cama.

PLEASE NOTE:
SHARE cannot accept donations between mid-December and mid-January. Our volunteers deserve a holiday break! Please hold your donations until after the holiday season.
​​Please donate only gently used seasonal items (i.e. shorts in the summer, coats in the winter) because our space is limited. Items should not be torn, stained, or damaged. A simple rule: If you wouldn't use it yourself, please don't donate it.

Where to Donate
Donations can be placed in the storage bins outside Door #8 of the McLean Baptist Church at any time.
Our volunteers empty the sheds daily.
Share's Clothing Room
Visitors to Share’s clothing pantry are greeted with a meticulously organized room featuring racks of clothing sorted by gender and age. What may not be immediately apparent is the dedicated effort of eight volunteers who invest countless hours to ensure the room maintains this pristine appearance. This team inspects every donation to determine if it is damaged, soiled, stained, or out of season.

Because there is limited space, only items that are in good condition and appropriate for the season are available in the clothing room. Unusable items are directed to Amvets; high quality out-of-season clothing is stored for future use; and upscale fashion items are sold to consignment shops to generate funds for clothing room needs.
A very warm thanks to all our committed volunteers who come in weekly to make the Clothing Room look so amazing! And, while we sincerely appreciate the generous donations from our community, we request that only gently used, seasonal clothing be donated. Items such as used lingerie, sleepwear, suits, and ties are not in demand by our clients. However, we gratefully accept new underwear and socks for any gender or age.
